Last night, I went to Joy Macfail's house for the opening of Woman's campaign school. Andrea Riemer hosted the event. Lots of wine, women and political talk. Many women were working on campaigns for the municipal election. It is a really exiting time for municipal politics in Vancouver. A few lady's mentioned that no woman is running for mayor of Vancouver. But I later remembered Betty Krawczyk is running. Go Betty! This election will be pretty brutal, I understand why many woman would not want to deal with everything that comes with it. Another woman mentioned that in parts of India, If I remember correctly, 30% of council has to be women. Interesting.
After that, I headed over to Allan De Genova's mayoral campaign office to stuff envelopes. I have been volunteering for Allan's campaign, very exiting stuff. Al is a dynamo of a human being and I really hope he wins.
Now it's time for me to head off to campaign school. I couldn't sleep last night, I was so exited about it.
